DESCRIPTION:Let’s beat the cold and go to California in our minds. Hang ten to the best Surf music on the Wasatch Front! \nJohnny Utah is an instrumental surf band based out of Salt Lake City\, UT. Revivalists of the instrumental surf era that was incredibly popular from about 1958 to 1964.  Enjoy songs by popular classic surf acts such as The Ventures\, The Shadows\, and The Astronauts\, coupled with a surf take on new wave hits from the 80s. \nThe Beachcombers will take you on a musical vacation riding\nreverb soaked waves of instrumental surf guitar rock. In the late 50’s\nand early 60’s artists like Duane Eddy and the Ventures were well\nknown and respected. Among youth\, the instrumental sound matched\npopularity with girl groups and Motown before they were all\nsteamrolled by the British invasion. The Beachcombers are having a\nblast paying tribute to this now underrated and nearly forgotten era\nof familiar melodies and swimmingly good tunes.
